For the Food on Fridays carnival, any post remotely related to food is welcome—though we love to try new dishes, your post doesn’t have to be a recipe. We’re pretty relaxed over here, and stories and photos are as welcome as menus and recipes. When your Food on Fridays contribution is ready, just grab the button to include with your post. It ties us together visually. Then fill in the boxes of this linky tool to join the fun!

Food on Fridays with Ann
A friend of mine highly recommended Pamela’s gluten-free baking mix for pancakes and cookies. I eagerly tracked it down at our local Whole Foods store, though it is also available online through Amazon (click on image to see pricing).
I whipped up some batter, poured a ladleful into the waffle iron, and look how pretty:
I ate three waffles, with plenty of maple syrup drizzled on top. Delicious.
The mix contains buttermilk, so if you have that restriction, you can’t avoid it. If, however, you are only avoiding gluten, I highly recommend this as a quality alternative.

Your waffles look lovely. I’m so pleased to see so many more gluten free options available. Although my family can eat gluten, so many of my readers are eating gluten free and I know what a struggle it can be! This week I have shared a post on how to make Rose Petal Cookies. Thank you for hosting and have a lovely weekend.
Ann,
Those waffles look delicious. Love that they are gluten free
Your photo makes me hungry and along with your “real” maple syrup.
