Ah Ann, priceless indeed. I’m so happy that you had this lovely time together.
Linda…you know how precious it is to be in person. It was truly lovely; they were too good to us. Too good. I’m so grateful.
Beautiful. I love the goat’s red leash and the smiling dogs and the chicken’s bullseye through the wire fence….and the juxtaposition of the faraway focus/closeup focus as the sun sets….the photos tell me about the visit. Blessed, indeed.
I wish I could take credit for the photos, but my 15yo daughter grabbed my camera and took off, strolling around Ann’s property, capturing things that caught her eye. She takes better pictures than I do!
The visit was indeed a blessing in so many ways. So simple, so humble, so precious.
Your photographer is amazing!
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree 🙂
*Thank you*
She had great material to work with…you surround yourself with beauty.
Thank *you* for inviting us into it.
Two Anns – who are gifts themselves and bless with words and pictures and new ways of seeing ordinary blessed things.
Oh, my. Thank you, Sue, for these words. Thank you.
Gifts of friendship, fellowship, beauty, of course some food and not to be forgotten, your animals surround you! Such a lovely way to spend the week end.
It was glorious, Hazel! I’d love to own chickens–and a goat! But our neighborhood subdivision doesn’t allow us to have farm animals in our yards. Those were Ann’s, and we loved wandering around admiring all the beauty and life.
Beautiful pictures, the Ann’s…together. Oh that must have been a treasured time of friendship. I hope someday to meet you both.
Sharon, it’s true. She’s an amazing woman who offered us so much in the short time we were together. I would love to meet you, too.
(My 15yo daughter took most of those pictures. 🙂 )
I have been blessed by you both, and it does my heart good to see you together smiling so brilliantly. A gift to me. 🙂
Ann V. is right… “All’s grace”
{{Hugs}}
Oh, Ruth, *you* are all grace! 🙂
Doesn’t Ann look so polished and poised, while I look a little wild and unkempt? My excuse is that we’d been on the road for eight hours…but I look a little unkempt much of the time. 🙂
I found your photography captivating. Your photos said so much. What a blessing friendship is.
Oh, JoDee, how I wish I could take credit for those pictures, but my 15yo daughter grabbed my camera and moseyed around Ann’s property snapping whatever caught her eye.
But my daughter has been looking at photos on Ann’s blogs for years, so maybe some of the vistas probably felt familiar to her.
Give that girl a huge high-5 – these pictures are glorious. And the two Anns?? The best there are. Thanks to you both for gracing these cyberwaves with your words, your beauty, your kindness. All is grace, indeed.
Wonderful pictures!
You’re lucky.
I’d like to meet both of you Ann people.
awww…
Such a blessing to see both of you on the same page. Your friendship is a gift that blesses us as well. Great to see all those photos of warmth and love and friendship. It does a heart good 🙂
Janis
Thank you, Janis. You are a gift yourself.
Two lovely Anns. I’m so glad God made both of you.
The photos are gorgeous. Wow.
What a lovely thing to say! And my daughter’s got a natural eye. She sees potential from angles I’d never consider.
Smiling at the thought of the two of you and your families altogether. Thanks for sharing part of the gift with us. Not quite the same as being there with you all, but lovely nonetheless.
And that 15 year old? What an eye!
It was a big, jumbly evening of fun!
And yes, I’m a bit jealous of my daughter’s natural talent, but kinda proud, too. She has watched Ann’s photography over the years at my recommendation, so she has been inspired by Ann’s way of looking at the world.
