Dear Kohls, Thank You for Options!

This is a special thank-you and shout-out to Kohl’s for offering a wide selection of swimwear that included some modest options for my teen daughters and myself. My middle daughter chose a blue version of this Nike brand top, which comes way down and covers her midriff. She paired it with bottoms that the Kohls.com website described as “scoop” bottoms. Not sure what I think about that name, but my daughter says she feels well covered in this two-piece.“I’ve had swimsuits that feel like they’re going to slide around or their straps will slip when I dive into the pool,” she explains. In contrast, “this swimsuit fits comfortably and feels like it stays put when I’m diving in.”And this nicely named ZeroXposur top (below) for my eldest daughter looks great paired with black board shorts by the same company. Together, her ensemble provides more coverage and support than the Kohl’s photo suggests, and my daughter looks and feels cute without revealing too much skin.Thank you, Kohls, Nike and ZeroXposur, for providing options for American women who want attractive swimwear that doesn’t reveal a lot of skin.

Amen to that, Ann. My daughter and I just went bathing suit shopping this past weekend. Not easy to find modest suits in teen sizes. Wish we could have y’all over for a day at the beach!

We would LOVE to play at the beach in our comfortable new swimsuits!! 🙂

Did you find anything for your daughter? It took a lot of tracking.

For my third daughter, who needs less support than the others, we ended up at Dick’s, where we bought an overpriced one-piece swimsuit–the kind you’d buy for a serious swimmer on a team.

When we were stunned by sticker shock at the cash register, I turned to her and said, “I invest in modesty.” 🙂

Ann, thanks for these links. Since we will soon be living amid lakes and rivers again, I reckon I ought to update my cut-offs for a real swim suit. And with my insulin pump, I need a two-piece… this post helps a lot.

    Blessings.

Cute! I’ve found some great stuff at Lands End, too.

I had about given up on swim suits and modesty. I am happy to know Kohls and others are listening to the public.
