First of all Ann, thanks for referencing the HCB post — very cool!
Secondly, I, too, use “oh” in all its variations — I should have included that in my “canned responses” list! But you are so right — tone and cadence can make all the difference. It’s not the words themselves that are erroneous — it’s how we use them and the thought, or lack of, behind them.
