I was truly hoping that there would be a short story about “hoosiers” attached to this hilarious picture. Then, as I scrolled down, I remembered that you like to be wordless on Wednesday.
You’ll get your story/ies. I promise. It’s just taking a while. In preparation I’ve been talking with fellow Hoosiers, and I took snapshots at the farm where I grew up. More to come on that, Seth…
The creator of the “sculpture” promised that a mother and baby pig are yet to come. However, they’ve had a little problem keeping the head on the “Teddy bear”. Since this photo was taken, it tilts rakishly to one side. And the woman in charge said she is running out of fruit baskets! (ears and nose). Still, I keep watching for the pig family!
You have to tell us about this since not far from where you grew up is not far from where I grew up.
I got my copy of your book in the mail today. It came back first so there was your smiling face on the cover and I thought to myself….I used to run track with her and now she is writer! How cool!

This is a great photo!
This is so funny! I have seen a few of these hay sculptures in The Netherlands too!
Now that just makes me smile.
I’ve seen a lot of things made with bales of hay/straw. This on takes the cake. Very nice photo!
