Through my blog, books, podcast, coaching and speaking, I’m helping established and emerging writers be more curious, creative and productive so they can overcome hurdles and reach their writing goals.
As a writing coach, editor, published author, and professional speaker, I energize writers to move confidently toward their goals as they find and develop their voice. I coach men and women in all areas of their writing lives—from defining their identity and developing stronger skills to determining project goals and taking next steps in building a platform. Creativity, productivity, lifelong learning and curiosity all play a part in the process, and I personalize ideas to nurture and integrate all of this into your daily life and work.
I coauthored On Being a Writer: 12 Simple Habits for a Writing Life that Lasts (Masters in Fine Living Series), and authored Not So Fast: Slow-Down Solutions for Frenzied Families (David C. Cook) and The Contemplative Mom. My articles have been featured in a variety of publications including The Indianapolis Star newspaper, and magazines such as ByFaith, The Student, Christian Home and School, and Indianapolis Woman. A contributor to several books, I’m honored to have been included in the award-winning Experiencing the Passion of Jesus, by Lee Strobel and Garry Poole.
Some books I’ve edited include How to Read a Poem: (Field Guide Series) by Tania Runyan, Spin: Taking Your Creativity to the Nth Degree: (An Illustrated Edition) by Claire Burge, and Poetry at Work (Masters in Fine Living Series) by Glynn Young.
My Belgian-born husband and I have four children, ages 14 to 21. Whether at work or play, I live a life full of wonder and curiosity. I also drink a lot of tea.

Having worked as a freelance writer and editor for over 25 years, I’ve developed extensive editorial skills that I’m ready to put to work for publishers and individuals. Not every editor is skilled in all levels of editing. Work with me, and you’ll find that I’m strong in developmental editing, copyediting—even proofreading.
