True Woman 2010
The True Woman 2010 conference came to Indiana.
And 6,000 women came to True Woman.
Among those 6,000 women are many friends of mine from the area, and some from farther away.
One of those friends from farther away is Erin, of filling my patch of sky, a blogger I came to know several years ago, enjoying her well written, bright and thoughtful posts; she’s also part of the High Calling community. We discovered that we would both be attending True Woman 2010 and made plans to meet up.
Some people don’t understand what an amazing experience it is to know someone virtually and then get to look her in the eyes, hug her, hear her voice and pick her brain. After years of reading each other’s words, we got to meet each other in person.
I can attest to it, because not only is she herself real, but she also came bearing the very real gift of something tangible, something memorable, something mouthwatering.
She came with Nutella.
I felt so known and loved! She noticed and remembered; she saw Nutella and thought of me. Wow.
And Nutella is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?
But not as beautiful as the woman who gave it to me: meet Erin!
Erin was asked by the leadership team to be the official live blogger during the conference, posting updates about people she’s meeting and telling “sticky” stories.
The leadership of True Woman asked a great writer and insightful, quality woman of God to capture the essence of these sessions.
They chose well.

Let’s face it, Ann … You ARE memorable! No wonder she wanted to bless you!
I’m so glad you had a chance for a face-to-face with a friend who has become so real to you. How I wish I could have one of those with you… Oh, wait…
I love these real stories of real people — hope the conference was as memorable at the Nutella! And I am hoping for at least the chance to talk to you before you leave!
Oh, nuts (or should i say, oh, nutella)….I was there, too. Not that you “know” me but I “know” you. “Follow” you through your blog, have blogged about your wise book, am friends with Ann V., too. I would have loved to have met you….made you “real”!
Blessings to you!!!
